Why, did you want to work on your Lucky/Unlucky titles instead of "Friends Of"?

Well I don't know about The Real Avalon, but I was looking forward to the Festival itself - the quests, the finale and being chased around Shing Jea by Grasps while trying to hand in drops. It was great fun.

Can't see how grinding for points is "Dragon-ish" as Gaile put it...

Pfft. Whatever, not bothered really. Just wanted to point out that some people see the Dragon Festival as something more than just AFKing for a title. Plus it makes me a little sad that there seems to be little to no interest in this, look what happened when people thought Tyria wasn't going to get the Mad King last year... mayhem! Disaster! Cats and dogs, living together! In the streets ! >.>

Lovely but my playtime is so restricted on weekends...

Thanks Anet. I'll stick with the Luxons since "Friend of Luxons" is harder to achieve. Maybe lux r7 if I find the time for the weekend.

Eh, I do hope the "Dragon-ish" is referring to next week...

Ditto. While I do plan to work on my "Friends of" title this weekend, this would hardly qualify as a "Dragon-ish" event.

I appreciate that, but I think your in a minority. I see way more ppl afking the rings than actively participating in events. I do like the Dragon Festival and am looking forward to it coming back this year.

My real point however was to point out how dumb people are to state that a particular event was "lame" because it wasn't what they wanted. There are people who like to FF and the Friends title so this is a good weekend for them, similarly there a people who like to chest run so the double gold chance weekend was good for them.

/shrug. Then I'm in a minority. Fair point, personally I don't think any of the weekend events are lame. Gaile's already stated there's not going to be a dragon festival anyway, so it's a bit moot I guess.

Wonderful event. This is the best one since the double Sunspear/Lightbringer points event.

Let's see if I understood it correctly.

Transfering faction 5k to your Alliance awards 10k faction towards your title track
That's how it is atm.

Double Luxon/Kurzick Title Points
This weekend, get double points towards your Luxon and Kurzick alliance titles starting at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) on Friday, June 29. Receive double points for transferring 1,000 faction for Jadeite or Amber, for exchanging 3,000 faction for an alliance skill, and for transferring 5,000 faction to raise your alliance's reputation. The bonus ends at 11:59 PM Pacific on Sunday, July 1.
This is this weekend.
Hopefully it really means when i donate 5k this weekend I'll get 15k towards alliance title. If this is the case then to get first tier you need to donate 35k ('cause u can only donate 5k each time).

I did Fort Aspenwood yesterday Luxon side, it was kinda fun winning, but when losing the faction points you get sucks (not to mention the "occasional" AFK-ers and leavers). It took me almost 3.5 hours to get 6k. That's bad IMO.

That means I need to look into ways to farm factions faster. ATM I'm not thinking of maximizing the title I just want to have all available skills for my characters. This weekend won't change that, it's not fun to see all those afk-ers and people leaving 'cause they think their side is losing. Honestly it seems like leaving when your team is losing is being "promoted" due to the current faction reward you get when losing.
I haven't left a team yet, but I wonder whether the other team found it fun(ny) when only three of us were left at 50% vengeance... Well the Kurzicks didn't flame us, we lost but we were there till the end. We killed a bunch of them, and we got 80 factions at end (that means 2 gates busted). It just doesn't seem to be worth it to stay when more than half of your team is gone.
TBH I think I could have left if I didn't need the factions (I needed 10k for the befriending luxon for my monk and I was at 9.960k when we started I maxed it by us killing Kurzicks before the battle ended). Since not all of us left I decided to stay as well. Honestly I was hoping they'd kill all of our NPC's befor 100% vengeance.

To Anet Plz change the rewards for the losing teams in Aspenwood to make it worth while playing even though there is hig chance of losing, or make a statement that it is fine to leave when your side is losing.........

PS I am not luxon player per se, I just needed the faction points. I think just before GWEN I'll be running ambers for Kurzick for my Necro and asassin.

I'm hoping that it means that we'll get 20K for donating 5K of faction.

Currently you get 10K, so I'm assuming that 10K x 2 = 20K...

That actually makes more sense (for a GW weekend). I was wondering why others where talking about 20k... So that means 5k=20k, 10k=40k, 10=40k so u only need 25k for first tier.
thnx

I am sure you know about the “FFF” way to earn faction which is the quickest farm. I have lately been faction farming with hardmode outside of Altrumm Ruins or should it be called “Allthebots Ruins the game”. Less running more killing and chance for greens. 1k or so for 10-15 minutes.

Yeah thnx. I needed 10k for Luxon befriending quest and I'm trying to venture in the world of PVP thats why I tried Aspenwood again. But maybe if I want to go for alliance title in the future Faction farming on Kurzick side might be the way. Actually it might even be faster to just farm factions on Kurzick side this weekend for the first tier. I don't like FFF (30 runs in 1 hour it's soooo booring...). But Vanquishing in Kurzick side, maybe Boss farming in Altrumm Ruins, treasure hunting/FFF, Aspenwood and AB that's probably what I'm gonna do this weekend if RL doesn't intervene...

This is gonna get ridiculous, just got R3, if I do some work should be able to get R4 or more, and keep my little 1 man guild highest in the alliance

I am going to AB like crazy! This came at the exact perfect time as I wanted to do alot of AB this weekend anyone before I do NF with my necro (I am so sick and tired of that campaign) Going to definetly be bugging my Luxon friend so i can guest his guild. Unfortunetly my guild is Kurzick :/ Cant stand playing for them, I usually run into a bunch of immature pricks on Kurz side but never on Luxon.
